The house of Lambert
Originality, artistry and confidence — thoughtfully made in Nigeria.
About Lambert
Lambert is a contemporary fashion house founded by Ogboghodo Adesuwa Ella L. Impens, built on the belief that beautiful fabric deserves extraordinary design and that fashion is a lasting expression of identity, artistry and confidence.
Guided by a lifelong passion for originality, sculptural silhouettes and thoughtful craftsmanship, Lambert transforms exceptional fabrics into wearable works of art. Every collection is an exploration of form, movement and innovation, created to celebrate femininity, elegance and individuality.
At Lambert, true luxury is not defined by trends but by timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship and originality. Every silhouette is created with intention, balancing artistic expression with wearability to produce pieces that feel both modern and enduring.
More than clothing, each Lambert piece is designed to tell a story, leave a lasting impression and become part of a woman’s personal journey. Our purpose is to create garments that inspire confidence, honour craftsmanship and celebrate the beauty of being unapologetically original.
We envision Lambert as more than a fashion house. We are building a legacy of creativity, innovation and excellence — one that inspires generations to come through designs that transcend seasons and stand the test of time.
A note from the founder
A reflection on the unseen work, the people and the conviction behind every piece.
People see a finished dress.
They see the silhouette, the movement, the photographs, the runway, the final stitch. They see confidence.
What they never see is everything that came before it.
They don’t see the sketch that sat untouched for weeks because it wasn’t good enough yet. They don’t see the fabric spread across the cutting table while I stood over it wondering whether to make the first cut or start all over again. They don’t see the samples that never leave the studio because they taught us something instead of becoming a collection.
They don’t see the days when creativity arrived easily, or the days when it didn’t arrive at all.
Building Lambert has never been about making clothes. It has always been about protecting an idea.
In fashion, it is easy to become another version of someone else. Trends move quickly. Designs are copied. Originality is often questioned before it is celebrated. I decided very early that if Lambert was going to exist, it would exist because it had something of its own to say.
That decision has cost more time than shortcuts ever would.
Every collection begins with a question instead of a trend. What story needs to be told? How should this woman feel when she wears it? How can this silhouette become something she has never seen before?
Sometimes the answer comes quickly. Sometimes it takes months. Both are part of the work.
As Lambert grew, the work changed too. There was a time when I carried almost every responsibility myself: designing, cutting, fittings, fabric sourcing, client meetings, production decisions, marketing, and solving problems no one else even knew existed.
Then came the people who believed in the vision enough to help carry it. Each new tailor, each beader, each member of the production team, each person in the showroom. Each role wasn’t simply another employee. It was another person trusted with the standard.
Because growth, to me, has never been measured by how many people work here. It is measured by whether every garment still feels like Lambert.
There are challenges people rarely think about: waiting for the right fabric; changing a design because reality demanded something different; teaching craftsmanship instead of rushing production; starting again when something is almost finished because “almost right” has never been good enough.
Those moments never appear in the final photograph. Neither do the disappointments: the collections that didn’t receive the attention I hoped for, the designs I later saw copied, the moments I questioned myself, the seasons when the work felt heavier than the recognition.
Yet those moments shaped this brand just as much as the successful ones.
If there is one thing Lambert has taught me, it is that originality asks for patience. Not everything new is immediately understood. Sometimes your responsibility is simply to keep creating until the work speaks for itself.
Today, when someone wears Lambert, I hope they see elegance, confidence and craftsmanship. But more than anything, I hope they feel the quiet determination sewn into every piece.
Because every dress carries far more than fabric. It carries the years spent learning, the courage to keep creating differently, and the belief that originality is always worth protecting.
That has always been Lambert. And it always will be.

Our responsibility
For Lambert, sustainability begins with intention. A garment that is thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted and deeply loved will always outlive one created to satisfy a passing trend. Every piece is designed for longevity through quality craftsmanship and original silhouettes that remain relevant beyond a single season.
For us, sustainability is as much about preserving creativity as it is about preserving resources.
Our collections are created to have lasting value. Rather than chasing seasonal trends, we develop signature silhouettes women can return to again and again.
Many garments are produced in limited quantities or made to order, helping us produce thoughtfully, minimise excess inventory and reduce unnecessary waste.
Every garment is carefully made by skilled artisans. Craftsmanship deserves time, respect and continual investment.
Pattern placement, fabric planning and careful cutting help us make better use of every textile. Wherever possible, remnants are repurposed into samples, design details or small accessories.
Quality construction and timeless design encourage our customers to wear their Lambert pieces for years rather than seasons.
Designing and producing in Nigeria allows us to work closely with our team, strengthen local craftsmanship and contribute to the creative economy around us.
Sustainability is an ongoing journey. As Lambert grows, we remain committed to improving our materials, production processes and environmental practices, while remaining transparent about our progress.
Circular thinking
Whenever possible, fabric remnants are incorporated into sampling, trims, accessories and future creative projects. By treating every textile as a valuable resource rather than waste, we continue working toward a more thoughtful production process.
Our promise
Because the most sustainable garment is one that continues to be loved.
A note from the founder
Fashion has the power to inspire, empower and endure. At Lambert, we believe true luxury is not found in producing more — it is found in creating pieces with meaning. Every silhouette begins with an idea, every stitch reflects craftsmanship, and every collection is designed to become part of a woman’s story for years to come.
We are committed to growing thoughtfully, producing responsibly and creating wearable art that honours both the people who make it and the women who wear it.
